Hi TazzI, I may be able to help with that tricking bit. Could you explain exactly what you want to do? As far as I understand, you want to trick tech2win into thinking it has a multiple diagnostic interface (MDI) connected on a comport? What are your plans after that? Do you want to monitor what data tech2win is sending/receiving? The tricking bit will most probably be very hard to do without having a real MDI to test with first though.
The tech2win emulates a tech2 device exactly, but what I neglected to think about is a tech2 device 'searches' for a car before I can make it send any information/commands through the comport. No car connected = cannot get pass 'searching for data'
So even If I manage to trick it to believing there is a MDI device hooked up, It also requires a car to be hooked up to the MDI to get pass the 'searching' point.
Since I dont think emulating a car data stream is going to be easy...Unless... bare with me here.... We trick the computer that a comport has a MDI device connected (probably the hardest part), then use previous car log data to send continuously over to emulate a cars communication thus trick the device
Could always attempt searching for 'commands' in the tech2 holden cartridge .bin, May need a few known commands to see if they don't pop up in there.
Or alternatively.. I just buy a chinese tech2 clone and wire in a second diagnostic port and listen to the commands... make our own tech2 program! then sell off the clone, job done
