VE Radio / HVAC EEPROM reprogramming information

This is the dump from the original no LCD head unit.

Anything in particular that your after doing? or just having a tinker with bits and pieces?

Alot of the attachments are "lost" from a server change done a while back although I think this is being slowly fixed as everything is getting compiled back together.

Like you said, theres a while wealth of knowledge and findings in the threads, so its more then likely you can find whats needed/develop whats needed by reading through from page one!

I dont even own a VE, yet Iv still run through this thread and the gm can bus single wire thread as Im still amazed on how much stuff was figured out.. and how quickly it was too! Also coming in handy to refer back to it now with some of the elm stuff Im messing with

Yes I'm changing the head unit from the stock one to the sv6/Calais unit .... Just need the dz EEPROM... When I ask the wreckers for a dualzone hvac module they have no idea!!!

Ah no worries,

Ill see if I cant have a search through my documents and find it, more then likely that Iv downloaded it at somepoint. Do you know what the file name is exactly? Make is a hell of alot easier to search for it.

Previous dumps... but I have never had luck flashing a HVAC from SZ to DZ.. I just program them with a piece of hardware in stead of bin files

Is a custom piece of equipment, think of it as a scantool, that has been put together to allow reading/writing of all this information..much quicker then having to pull the entire unit out, get at the eeprom..change the info and put back together just to test if what you did was even correct!

Wow sounds cool... This obviously uses the gmlan bus..... I'm getting an arduino and can bus shield delivered this week hopefully!!! Then it's time to start hacking
