The verdict: took the pan off & was normal, clean fluid filter etc. Pulled solenoids & tested them all worked fine & no cracks. Took it to a trans shop & re-flashed the ECU & now it runs like a dream. Two other shops said it's a full rebuild, but there was no evidence at all regarding burnt/worn clutch pack & no debris at all. The fact it was working perfect when the car was turned off, then after restarting it the problem occurred made me sure for certain it was electrical. All fixed by a re-flash.
