VE 2007 stereo swap

Specific interior modification information for Holden Commodore VE and VEII Series Commodores, and HSV E1, E2, and E3 models

Postby bubasathish » Fri May 09, 2014 10:40 pm

Hi, Im swapping out my factory stereo for a factory 6 stack stereo. However it just blows the fuse every time I hook it up. The details of my ingoing stereo are... L1 Omega IDC fascia, 92228609 and L2 IRC 92247111.

How do i get around the fuse blowing? Can I just up the 15amp to a 20 amp? Do I have to do something special with the wiring to get around it.

Thanks!!

If it's blowing fuses, then it IS blowing fuses..full stop. Upping to 20 amp will not change things except for maybe melting wires. Not sure on the S1 units but I would say there may be a difference in the wiring harness. Search this forum as there may be info on these units. Cheers
