VE headlight switch illumination colour change

Specific interior modification information for Holden Commodore VE and VEII Series Commodores, and HSV E1, E2, and E3 models

Postby AndreasB » Wed Feb 27, 2013 8:56 am

Hi, im in the process of changing the switch and dash illumination from red to white in my VE SSV ute. Ive done everything so far but the headlight switch is causing me grief. Ive popped the back cover off, but I cant get the circuit board out.

Has anyone managed to get one apart without breaking it?

Thanks Andreas

changed mine from green to white a while back, I used 3 flat head screwdrivers spaced equally around the bottom of the shaft and just gently prised it off.
Once the shaft comes out you can remove the pcb.
You'll need 6 x plcc2 leds to change the colour

Cheers

You legend, that worked! I wasn't levering it hard enough before, I thought I'd break it! This time it popped off and I've changed the leds over.

Thanks very much!
