EDTC P0196 is reported if the EOT Sensor temperature is inconsistent with engine temperature.
Possible Sensor Faults
Sensor damaged or faulty;
Possible Wiring Faults
Improper wiring connection to sensor. EOT wiring circuit shorted to VPWR, VREF or PWRGND. OTHER CONDITION
