Diagnostic Trouble Code Description:
Vehicle Speed signal fault.
DTC P0503 is reported if the vehicle speed signal is not received at the Powertrain Control Module (PCM). The signal may be missing or intermittent.
Possible Mechanical Faults
ASR Equipped Vehicle Check ASR warning lamp. Rectify ASR faults if required. Check other DTCs. Rectify as required. ABS Equipped Vehicle Check ABS warning lamp. Rectify ABS faults if required. Check VSS wiring betweenPCM and ABS module for open circuit, short circuit toVPWR and Ground.
Possible Sensor Faults
OSS Equipped Vehicle Check VSS wiring between PCM and OSS on transmission for open circuit, short circuit to VPWR and Ground.
Possible Module Faults
PCM damaged or faulty
